All the food delicious, but the fruit salad makes me hope that the cantaloupe grow faster on the vine; then I can pair it with the strawberries I picked last month.
Initially, I thought this was Wordless Wednesday: WEEKDAY breakfasts. Somehow, food rightfully removes you from words & human noise, tuning us to rhythmic consumption and balance within our world. And, is that last photo of toast? Volumes, sonnets could be written on the virtues of toast, in my opinion.
Cooking made me feel creative and powerful,
and that is possibly the truest reason for my
continuing preoccupation with the art of eating.

I also would like to know where the salt and pepper shakers came from! They steal the photo.
the eggs look so good! what a beautiful site!
That photo (the scramble in progress) was too good not to highlight. Recipe of the Week (even recognizing there’s not a recipe). Also, adding you to my reader…I love all the loveliness on display! http://www.themushroomchannel.com/2009/07/08/row-shitake-and-spinach-scramble-by-cucina-nicolina/
